2007/8: 10th Anniversary Season

The club was formed in 1997 with the inaugural fixture between a Yarm XV and a Presidents XV taking place in February 1998 on the Aislaby pitch. From this first match a relationship developed with Yarm Grammar School that enabled us to make use of excellent playing, changing and training facilities.

 
Alan Bruce, Club President Founder Chairman  from 1998 to 2003 1998/1999 The club joined Durham & Northumberland Div 4 in September 1998.
Early partnerships

2nd XV were born in September 1998 under the leadership of Alf Raine. Matches were played at HMP Kirklevington whose assistance was crucial in providing both facilities and players.

Membership of the Yarm Sports and Recreation Trust since 2001-2002 gave us a new social venue at Leven Road.
Steve Passman, current  Chairman and  Juniors Coach.  First XV Captain for three seasons.  1999/2000 2nd XV won the Durham County 4th team shield under the captaincy of Craig Jackson.
2000/2001 Graham Newton appointed Club Coach. 1st XV won Durham & Northumberland Div 4, promoted to Div 3.
2001/2002 1st XV finished 3rd in Durham & Northumberland 3.
Kevin Williams, Vice Chairman. Has captained both senior teams. One of the three people present  at the first meeting in December 1997. 2002/2003 1st XV Durham & Northumberland Div 3 Runners up, promoted to Div 2.
2003 /2004 Consolidation for both senior teams and launch of Yarm Youth Rugby.
2004/2005 Yarm Youth Rugby plays its first fixtures. Plans for a clubhouse are discussed at Allens West. Relegated from Durham & Northumberland Div 2.
Brian Hoar, promotion winning player and coach. Durham IV Team Cup Winner 2000. 2005/2006 Rebranded as Yarm Rugby with move for all teams to Allens West. Yarm Eagles gain promotion back to Durham & Northumberland Div 2. First full season of competitive fixtures for Yarm Youth Rugby.
Le Backburn: Club Manager and Durham IV Team Cup Winner 2006/2007

Consolidation of place in Durham & Northumberland Div 2. 2XV have one of their best ever seasons finishing joint fourth in the Tees Valley Social League going one calender year unbeaten at Allens West. Yarm Youth Rugby continues to develop.
