It has been an absolute pleasure to be Chairman of Yarm RUFC since its inception in 1997. Much has been achieved on and off the pitch and I think it is important to recognise the hard work that has been put in to get the club to where it is now. I have great faith in my successor. It says much about his passion for the game and the club that he still intends to be actively involved as a player (selection permitting of course!) We are fortunate to be able to say that the future looks bright for the club. The incorporation of first class training facilities at Conyers to run alongside our established relations with the Grammar School and HMP Kirklevington means we can continue to develop and grow. The imminent instigation of a junior section demonstrates the long-term ambitions held by the elected members of the committee. I look forward to catching up with you in the near future on the touchline or in the clubhouse. Alan Bruce |
